The Zechin outdoor pool is one such place, where village community and summer fun meet. Behind the gate with its hand-painted lettering are a lawn, a kiosk, Wi-Fi, and a natural swimming pond that could hardly be more reminiscent of childhood memories. Clouds drift across the sky, the water sparkles, and somewhere an ice cream truck song blares. Brandenburg at its best.

Beautiful lake with a circular hiking trail. Also easy to get around by bike. There are two main bathing areas. One in Heinersdorf and one in Behlendorf. There is also a portable toilet in Behlendorf in the summer. There is also a nice fireplace there.

The outdoor pool is located directly on the L 33 and is the only naturally-fed outdoor pool in the Oderbruch. The pool is equipped with four 50 m lanes, a diving board and a water slide. Moorings, beach chairs, catering and toilet facilities are part of the complex. The area is ideal for school trips as well as tent and camping enthusiasts, as the Oderbruchcamp is located next to the outdoor pool. The outdoor pool season normally lasts from May 1st to September 30th. The entrance fee of €2.00 (children aged 0 to 17 pay €1.00) is, in my opinion, moderate.

The circular route is great. In Falkenhagen there is the Swiss house and the ice garden for a little rest. The lake is very clean and there are small bathing spots every now and then.

The Halbesee is the second lake in the chain of lakes of the Platkow mill stream and is located south of Diedersdorf. The lake used to be right next to the Diedersdorf Castle Park, the southern part of which is no longer maintained. I walked along the north shore of Halbesee in search of a southern park entrance and can confirm to JackSkellington that the lake can be completely circumnavigated.

The loop around the lake is very nice. You walk through the forest, over footbridges and bridges and a little through the village. The ice cream parlor and the Schweizerhaus restaurant are definitely worth a visit (if it is allowed again). Good food, great cakes and nice ice cream. There are 2 unguarded swimming areas on the lake. A slightly larger one in the south-west and a small one in the north-east part. The small bathing area has the sun until evening. On the other hand, the sun disappeared behind the trees relatively early. The area has other beautiful lakes. Take a look at that too. Have fun while enjoying.
