The Klausentalhütte is a managed and cozy forest hut in the Palatinate Forest, with a large playground, terrace and several rooms to sit inside. The hut is a popular destination for young and old. www.klausental.de

Always worth a stop. I can only recommend the lentil soup. The slaughter plate is also praised

Interesting monument, impressive foresight and good, very large parking space nearby, which is very important for strangers. After the hike, a Palatinate plate in the forest restaurant. Half a piece of Black Forest is enough for dessert, more is not possible.

The Peace Memorial in Edenkoben was built in 1899 on the Werderberg near Edenkoben in memory of the victory in the war of 1870/71. The equestrian figure is a naked youth holding an olive branch in his hand and holding it up as a sign of peace. From there you have a nice view of the Rhine valley on Edenkoben.

On public holidays, the hut is already very busy ... for those who like it quieter then it is rather suboptimal. Except it is on the Klausental hut very nice, just the relatively new playground for the kids
