The Elligbachtal is part of the World Heritage Trail and can also be easily integrated into the Pfalzblick dream loop. If there has been a lot of rain, it might get a little slippery. Slightly sturdy shoes are recommended. The stream crossings should be possible with a large step even when there is “a lot of water”.

Great section of the climb. The narrow paths and steps can be slippery when wet. You also have to go through a trickle, more water could run when it rains.

The name, Engehell in the local dialect, is derived from Halde, a steep slope here. The narrowness refers to the valley floor of the slope. Vineyard locations in the area are also called Hell. Nice, challenging path. But relatively "uncomfortable" with "full operation" on the route, regardless of front or rear .... Surefootedness should be required as well as a certain head for heights .....

The Wolfshöhle vineyard is separated from the neighboring Steeger St. Jost by a small stream, the Mönchsrinne. This sign is in the headwaters, the brook itself forms a wild and romantic valley a few hundred meters further down, in which walls of former buildings can be seen in many places.
