The Elligbachtal is part of the World Heritage Trail and can also be easily integrated into the Pfalzblick dream loop. If there has been a lot of rain, it might get a little slippery. Slightly sturdy shoes are recommended. The stream crossings should be possible with a large step even when there is “a lot of water”.

The name, Engehell in the local dialect, is derived from Halde, a steep slope here. The narrowness refers to the valley floor of the slope. Vineyard locations in the area are also called Hell.
