The Hohner See is a lake about 12 km west of the town of Rendsburg in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein near the village of Hohn. The lake is about 71 hectares in size and up to 1.0 m deep. It is the last surviving Geest flat lake in the flooded landscape of the Eider-Treene-Sorge lowlands.

toilet on site. The Hütte zum Untersetellen is very suitable for cyclists. The meadow is a good size, has tables and benches, and the bathing area is also suitable for children. A net for ball games and a slide as well as a jetty are available.

This double-lane concrete track runs through the "Hohner See" nature reserve. This is a 70 hectare flat lake with a depth of 1.00 to 1.60 m. Two high moors border this lake: The Königsmoor and the Hartshoper Moor. Here you can get an idea of what Schleswig-Holstein must have looked like. A lot of plants, animals and birds can be observed here, depending on the season. Today we saw three cranes. Here, too, please: quiet, clean and be considerate of the environment! At the beginning, the two-lane concrete track is not in good condition. Therefore: hold the handlebars and pay attention to the way!

The "Hohner See" nature reserve was designated in 1995 with a total area of 364 hectares. The Hohner Lake itself is about 70 hectares and has a depth of 1.00 to 1.50 meters. It is the last remaining flat lake on the edge of the formerly extensive floodplains of the Eider-Treene-Sorge river landscape. With the adjacent high moors "Königsmoor" and "Hartshoper Moor", the area still gives an idea of the once endless moor and swamp landscape.
