The Junfernley is easy to find. From Schönecken, turn onto the main path at the car park to Schönecker Schweiz, towards Rommersheim. After about 1 km, you reach the Jungfernley, which is on the right in the "Reinsbusch", and the Schalkenbach on the left. The Jungfernley is a legendary, mighty dolomite formation. According to legend, the stone is the remains of a maiden who was turned to stone at this point due to malice. The cabin 🛖 is almost completely ruined now. 😞 What a shame!

There is ample parking, shade and a BBQ area. The grill hut can possibly be rented out.

30m from the main path there is a shelter with benches and a garbage can, there is also a stream here where we could water the dogs

This well-maintained shelter is in a very exposed location. A bench and a table invite you to take a break. The hut also offers protection from rain and sun if necessary, but you can still enjoy a beautiful view.

Pretty neglected and unkempt barbecue hut.

This refuge is in fair condition. If it rains unexpectedly, you are glad that it is there ;-)
