The Junfernley is easy to find. From Schönecken, turn onto the main path at the car park to Schönecker Schweiz, towards Rommersheim. After about 1 km, you reach the Jungfernley, which is on the right in the "Reinsbusch", and the Schalkenbach on the left. The Jungfernley is a legendary, mighty dolomite formation. According to legend, the stone is the remains of a maiden who was turned to stone at this point due to malice. At three points along the stream path there are huts and many benches, some with a view, which invite you to linger.

If you get lost here, you should look down the valley, where strange, enchanted tree formations stand.

Clean and fairly new refuge on the edge of the forest with a good view of the Schneifel. Since there aren't too many of them on the Morre Path; definitely use it for a short rest.

In the Eifel, right at the top of the Schwarzer Mann, you will find the most rustic log cabin restaurant for miles around. Our "ski hut"! It is a mixture of pub, restaurant and cafe. In the middle of the restaurant is the open fireplace (next to the bar), the absolute attraction. Pure nature to feel good in. People like to meet here to reminisce about their hikes with the "Schwarzer Mann" in the rustic, natural atmosphere with beer and wine. Whether for lunch or dinner, for a family celebration, or just in between, as a hiker, rider, cyclist, biker, runner, bus passenger, sledder or skier, the Schneifel and the log cabin cast their spell over everyone. You can celebrate as you please in a particularly original way here in the middle of nature. The ski hut offers space and opportunities for everyone. This beautiful refuge was built in 2012 by the Siegfried Meyer carpenter on behalf of the Manderfeld Tourist Association and offers a welcome shelter in the event of an unexpected rain shower.
