The Langenstein is located directly on the Heroldsteig trail (marked with a blue cross on a white background). Both from the south and the north, the rock formation can be reached via a challenging uphill climb. The ascent is worthwhile not only for hikers and climbers, but also for mountain bikers. Both descent options, north or south, are interesting and fun.

The climb is steep but manageable. After all, it's one of the Seven Summits of the Nuremberg region. The view is limited by the trees.

Several short but steep paths run up to the Windburg, a group of rocks. The view is wonderful.

Not so easy, the short detour to Windburg. But the view is phenomenal. The view stretches as far as the Fichtelgebirge! There is a legitimate reason to warn of the risk of falling.

The Windburg is one of the Seven Summits in the Nuremberg region. For the last part of the ascent from the hiking trail to the summit you should have sturdy shoes and be sure-footed!
