The 4.9-hectare park, which in many parts resembles a naturally developed, low mountain landscape with pathways, was man-made. Completed in 1989, the park was integrated into the planning of the new residential area as part of the Königswiesen-Süd green space concept. Fifteen entrances allow access from all sides of the adjacent residential areas, and a wide variety of activities for all ages and interests ensures that young and old alike will never be bored. The path winds gently upwards, following the park's topography, where on the left you come across a pond fringed with reeds and water hemp. Several families of mallards enjoy the balmy late summer air and drift leisurely on the water. Every now and then, the tranquil surface of the water stirs, namely when one of the pond's mighty carp or pike pushes to the surface. During the complete cleaning in 2008, foreman Tobias Seliger, who is responsible for the Königswiesen South maintenance district, recounts that they even caught a pike measuring 1.40 meters in length.

Children and teenagers can enjoy themselves on the playground with its water jets and tube slide. A spacious, always neatly trimmed lawn is available directly opposite for ball sports or picnics. Contemplative walkers can choose the path through the wildflower meadows and be inspired by the wildflowers that grow, bloom, and self-seed freely here, untouched by the lawnmower. Yarrow, cornflower, wild carrot, meadow cranesbill, buttercups, and vibrant vetches offer a variety of impressionistic splashes of color in late summer. These long-grass meadows also provide habitat and shelter for many insect species, songbirds, and all sorts of small creatures. Those who pause for a moment can observe peacock butterflies, blue butterflies, and brimstone butterflies flitting from blossom to blossom, and on balmy summer evenings, a chorus of crickets fills the park.

St. Emmeram Castle or Thurn and Taxis Castle is a castle belonging to the Princely House of Thurn and Taxis in Regensburg. An impressive building complex!

The lake is part of the castle gardens and can only be viewed.

🏛️Historic corner with the Naabspitz (pilgrimage church of the Assumption of Mary) with excellent restaurants 🍳🍺 in Mariaort (Krieger Wirt) and access to all sides of the Naab and Danube via the two bridges. Above the church stretches the Marienhöhe with the Weiherholz, featuring an extensive network of great trails (e.g., bobsleigh run, Halber Herrmann -> see map in photos). On the Mariaort side, the JURA🦕 trails open up along the Naab (e.g., Ho Chi Minh above Ebenwies; dangerous!!). On the Regensburg side, there are bike spare parts (e.g., Zweirad Stadler) and relaxed restaurants (e.g., the "Unter den Linden" inn in the city park or the Walba restaurant 5 km upstream of the Danube in Unter-Irading)!
