From the Grevenburg castle ruins you have a gigantic view of the Moselle and Traben-Trarbach.

Traben-Trarbach, the jewel on the Middle Moselle in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district, Rhineland-Palatinate. Traben-Trarbach was once a busy wine trade area and the town became wealthy at the turn of the century. The large wine cellars and the large and magnificent Art Nouveau villas still bear witness to this today. These cellars can be visited on guided tours. The castle ruin above Traben-Trarbach is the Grevenburg, which towers high above the city. The castle was built in the 13th century and originally served as the residence of the Counts of Sponheim. Over the centuries it was destroyed and rebuilt several times before finally being abandoned and in ruins in the 18th century. Nowadays you can visit the ruins and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Moselle and the surrounding landscape from up there. Although the castle is in ruins, parts of the walls, towers and other architectural features still remain.

On the way up to Grevenburg there are a few opportunities to enjoy the view of Traben-Trarbach.

From the vantage point "Lorettablick" you have a wonderful view of the vineyards and the Moselle!
