The castle ruin above Traben-Trarbach is the Grevenburg, which towers high above the city. The castle was built in the 13th century and originally served as the residence of the Counts of Sponheim. Nowadays you can visit the ruins and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Moselle and the surrounding landscape from up there. Although the castle is in ruins, parts of the walls, towers and other architectural features still remain.

On the way up to Grevenburg there are a few opportunities to enjoy the view of Traben-Trarbach.
