At 552 m, the Schellenberg is the highest elevation in Lower Bavaria south of the Danube. At the foot of the house lies the Inn Valley with the Bavarian towns of Simbach am Inn, Kirchdorf, Ritzing, Julbach and the Austrian towns of Braunau, Ranshofen, Neukirchen and many more. Super delicious Vesperhütte with a great beer garden. There are great sausage and cheese platters here, but also many other Franconian delicacies. Opening hours Sunday to Wednesday 2pm-9pm !!

Very nicely located, cozy, nice service. You have to test yourself whether it tastes good. At least the sausage salad was pretty sweet and not that great. opening hours Closed on Mondays Tuesday closed Wednesday 2pm - midnight Thursday 2pm - midnight Friday 2pm - midnight Saturday 2pm - midnight Sunday 2pm - midnight

The dense vegetation on the Inn Cycle Path usually prevents a view of the Innauen. This rest area allows a clear view of the European reserve.

Very nice inn in the style of mountain huts. A film was also made here a few years ago (Der Sternsteinhof). A nice resting place in the middle of the tour.

Coordinates are not very right. Should be adjusted. No idea where Andy's information comes from, but the Schellenberg is by no means the highest elevation in Lower Bavaria, because Lower Bavaria also includes a large part of the Bavarian Forest. The Schellenberg is "only" the highest elevation of the Lower Bavarian Tertiary hill country.
