When long periods of frost cover the numerous lakes along the Danube valley with a solid layer of ice, the reservoir is hectically busy. Swimming birds gather in large flocks to survive the ice periods on the last open water surfaces. With a little luck, you will then spot a sea eagle hunting or hear the far-reaching call of the whooper swans. Let yourself be enchanted by nature! Swimming is strictly prohibited here!
