The vintner used the little house as protection against rain and storms, as a storage and equipment room and as a break room. Wingert means vineyard.

The Mönch-Felix-Hütte now stands where he had settled down exhausted. Only the legend derives (Nieder)-Fell from Felix, who came here as a wandering monk from the Orient 1900 years ago, lived in a hut above the village and grew the first wine on the slope still called "Münichsberg".
