Enjoy the wonderful view of the Moselle valley with the villages of Kobern-Gondorf, Lehmen and Niederfell at the foot of the Mönch-Felix hut. << Monk Felix >> Felix, a monk from the East, came to this area in AD 70 after a 40-year pilgrimage. The Mönch-Felix-Hütte now stands where he had settled down exhausted. Only the legend derives (Nieder)-Fell from Felix, who came here as a wandering monk from the Orient 1900 years ago, lived in a hut above the village and grew the first wine on the slope still called "Münichsberg". The benches inside the hut offer protection from the sun (or other weather conditions). Those who prefer a sunny spot will find other benches there as well.

Very nice rest area with shelter. Two loungers invite you to relax. The wonderful view of the Moselle valley is included for free.

Hatzenport was first mentioned in a document around 1135 as "Hattenporcia". Hatzenport itself was already inhabited in Roman times, as evidenced by stone finds during railway construction in the last century It was part of the greater community of Löf and became independent again at the local elections of June 12th, 1994. From this hut you have a magnificent view of the Moselle valley, Hatzenport and the vineyards! There is even a barbecue area on the premises, you can unwind on relaxation benches and there are also tables with benches for picnicking.
