From the Concordia Tower, the descent begins from the heights of the Lahn ridges in the Westerwald to the banks of the river. Several stops along the way, including the so-called "Mooshütte" (Moss Hut) dating from 1831, invite you to linger and enjoy the panorama of the river and the city.

"A popular refuge for hikers with a beautiful view of western Bad Ems... The Adolphstempel is not only a popular refuge for hikers, it also offers a beautiful view of western Bad Ems. The Adolphsweg and Adolphstempel were built in the revolutionary year of 1848 to provide a livelihood for unemployed day laborers. They were named after the then Duke Adolph of Nassau. The current refuge dates back to the 20th century. From here, you can see the old village of Ems and the island of Silberau. Since 1859, the processing facilities of the Ems lead and silver works and the large dumps have been located there. Around 1880, over 1,600 people worked in the mines, the processing plant, and at the steelworks." https://www.badems-nassau.info/poi/adolphstempel

<< Mooshütte viewpoint >> "Impressive view from the refuge of Bad Ems and the Lahntal... The Mooshütte is located on the Bäderlei and combines a great panoramic view of Bad Ems with a nice picnic option. The Westerwald begins north (right) of the Lahn and the Taunus begins to the south (left). The rocky mountain ridge on which we stand fascinated spa guests in the Romantic era. The Heinzelmann Caves a little below here provided material for imaginative stories. As early as 1816, a rock path was laid out for riding donkeys and the first moss hut was built here. Today's refuge dates from 1992. Travel guides such as the Baedecker from 1835 praised the route." https://www.tourenplaner-rheinland-pfalz.de/de/punkt/ outlookspunkt/ outlookspunkt-mooshuette/39542418/ << Baedecker's rock path >> "Poets have raved here... Always along the famous Bäderlei, rocky outcrops offer the most beautiful view of the Kaiserbad. The wildly romantic rock path was already praised by Baedecker in 1846 as a unique opportunity to discover the Bad Ems landscape. And the famous writer Dostoyevsky even called them the most picturesque rocks in the world. Via the Emser Bäderlei you either go directly to the Concordia Tower with one of the best views over Bad Ems, or you take a short turn to the Mooshütte, a meeting point for lovers. There are also the legendary Heinzelmann Caves, a geomorphological natural phenomenon, to marvel at." https://www.badems-nassau.info/tour/baedeckers-felsenweg
