A beautiful hike through a truly special valley. From Dörsbach, the trail ascends in numerous steps through the gorge, past many "waterfalls" over which the Wäschbach stream carves its way through the steep valley. Not a hike for beginners!

Both sides of the Dörsbachtal are simply awesome. Long S0-1 passages on the right, interrupted by S2-S4 pieces, some of which can only be overcome by carrying. Very demanding route. This should only be done in dry weather, as some sections are on slate or clayey ground. Hikers may come across the other way at any time. I did the tour from Katzenelnbogen to Arnstein Monastery, starting and finishing in Koblenz. On the middle path (S2) from the valley up to the monastery there are several tree trunks that have to be climbed over. Since the bark has already been sanded smooth, it seems that they have been in position for a long time.
