A beautiful path along the fish ponds with educational panels that are interesting for both children and adults – ideal for walking, exploring and learning about nature.

There is good parking at the Waldsee car park. A ten-minute walk takes you to the lake where you will be greeted by the many ducks.

At the beginning of the fish ponds there is a small parking lot where we parked our car. That's why we wanted a circular route, which unfortunately wasn't possible directly at the ponds. So we went back across the street, which was still very nice with little traffic and a nice view. Next time we will extend the route into the adjacent nature reserve.

The former LGS site is a nice place to stay and stop

The lake is divided for bathing and a protected nature area. Former garden show grounds; is great to reach via the Ortenau Bridge and good cycle paths.

You can walk along the ponds on a narrow path

Beautiful hiking area. Great infrastructure for hikers and mountain bikers. The Black Forest and in particular the Ortenau district are very varied. Since I don't take a photo of every bench or bush along the way, I'll include a photo collage of my photos from the region.
