The Trützschlers had the castle built around 1600 at the foot of the small "fortified castle" located on the neighboring rock. It was expanded and remodeled over the following centuries. On August 12, 1859, it burned down and was rebuilt in a modified form. In 1926, the family sold their ancestral home to the town, and since 1930, the building has housed the Falkenstein Local History Museum and the savings bank. Voigtsberg Castle was the administrative center of the southern Vogtland for almost 600 years. After its destruction in the Thirty Years' War, Voigtsberg Castle was rebuilt as a palace in 1633.

Here you can enjoy a pleasant view over the whole of Auerbach and, during beer garden season, also enjoy a pleasant "refreshment".

Well, more of a ruin than a castle. Overgrown and not accessible. But the castle pond is quite nice and offers a place to rest.

Also with a nice party cellar that you can rent.

Half-timbered castle. Not accessible inside, only during events. The cellar can be rented for celebrations and is very cozy.
