From the pretty tower you have a magnificent view of the surrounding area, and on a clear day you can even see as far as Lübeck.

recommended more because of the physical activity involved in the climb, you can't expect a view from up here as everything is wooded. The geological features in the area are interesting at best

The Bismarck Tower on the Pariner Berg also serves as an observation tower. Once you reach the top, you can see the Holstein Switzerland, the Schwartau valley and even the Bay of Lübeck shimmers through. But the most beautiful view of Lübeck is blocked by trees. At the top, you can sit perfectly on the concrete base and therefore take a rest.

The Bismarck Column was closed for a long time, but now it is accessible again. The restoration was successful and apparently quite true to the original. Only the pillar of fire at the top is missing. The view - fantastic! It extends as far as Lübeck.

Pariner Berg is a 72-meter-high hill in Groß Parin, Schleswig-Holstein. The Bismarck Column stands atop it. Pariner Berg is a typical glacial moraine of the Baltic Ridge, characteristic of the Schleswig-Holstein hill country. It forms the northern boundary of the Lübeck Basin and the eastern boundary of the Schwartau glacial valley. Due to its exposed location, Pariner Berg was the site of a windmill, which later housed a forced labor camp during World War II. The last remaining building is now used as a residence. The 12.8-meter-high Bismarck Column, built around 1901/1902, offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area, including Lübeck, Neustadt, Lübeck Bay, and the hilly landscape of Holstein Switzerland. Approximately halfway between Groß Parin and the Bismarck Column is a war memorial commemorating the fallen of the First and Second World Wars. Until early June 2015, the Lübeck VHF omnidirectional range (VOR) beacon for air traffic control was located approximately halfway between Klein Parin and the Bismarck Column. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pariner_Berg
