Beautiful hut right on the way

A quiet pavilion with seating all around. The slope descends slightly to the west, where a footpath leads to the forest kindergarten. Unfortunately, it has since been destroyed by an old beech tree. Plans are in place to rebuild it.

There is a legend about this cross: it is said that a count killed his wife on this spot after he was informed of her infidelity. After her death, however, the countess's innocence was proven and the count erected this memorial stone with a prayer house as atonement for his hasty act. In order to save his soul, he made a pilgrimage to the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, from which he never returned.

There are legends surrounding the origin of the women's crosses (the small boundary stone with the word women in front of the hut), which is explained on a plaque at the Königstuhl. A man accuses a woman of cheating, stabs her, then recognizes her innocence and erects the "women's stone" in memory of her. Memorable!
