Highlight already exists as a section... Wonderful valley with a small road that stretches for almost 12km between Arnstadt and Crawinkel. There is a bit more traffic in the afternoon, but it's still bearable. Asphalt is great!

Even though the highlight has already been done twice, I prefer this one because it is laid out as a section. Wonderful valley with a small road that stretches for almost 12km between Arnstadt and Crawinkel. There is a bit more traffic in the afternoon, but it is still bearable. Asphalt is great!

A time trial has been held here every year since 2023, the "Jonastaler Challenge". Highly recommended...It's really fun to ride along there. If you're unlucky, the wind whistles through the valley. I love this route! 🚴🏻♀️✌🏼

Through the forest in search of the shell limestone formation - the Jungfernsprung. According to legend, a maiden fled from a greedy knight and threw herself into the gorge. While the knight jumped after him with his horse and smashed it miserably, the damsel was able to fly down into the valley thanks to her bulbous robe.

Super nice, fast descent to Arnstadt. Perfect road on which you can either let it roll or accelerate well.

nice long drawn descent through the narrow Jonas Valley, right and left partly steep walls, the road is well paved and currently not very heavily used due to a block in Arnstadt
