The striking and visually unusual building used to serve as a brewery, as already described (initially under the name "Schlossbrauerei", from 1906 as "Hansa-Brauerei"). The architectural style seems strangely inappropriate in the surroundings - and I had to look it up first - it is called Castle Romanesque. No wonder: I don't really associate that with the Hanseatic cities and their brick Gothic architecture.

Between parks by the water and the Sound in a nice residential area you will discover the Castle on the Sound. It was built in 1877 in the romantic castle style and was used as a brewery. It included the castle brewery, residential buildings, office and beer garden.

This building is a two-storey plastered building from 1912. It has a central projectile and a large entrance hall. It was used as a primary school from 1945 to 1955. In 2014 the building was renovated.
