Sylvestersee The picturesque Sylvestersee, named after a British officer, was created by the compaction of the subsoil by heavy military machines. Today it blends harmoniously into the Osterheide and, although it is only fed by rainwater, has never dried out. The heath, no matter which one 😉 is not only beautiful in summer. In winter it is empty and quiet and beautiful 👍

In mid-March the circumnavigation was still relatively unspectacular.

The "shortcut" past the Seeve source became a challenge: Very narrow paths, large tree roots crossing the path and water holes that were difficult to overcome made problems for my bike with a dog trailer. - Once again only in very dry weather- In wet weather it is better to take the small detour on the designated cycle path. If you don't mind these difficulties - just try "nature, nature and only nature".

"See" is perhaps an exaggeration, but otherwise very pretty

Much quieter than the Pietzmoor, in the spring you can walk around the pond, but the stinging nettles are already growing on the south bank...
