The Kronsbergheide is not big, but it is a very pretty patch of heath. There is also a relatively large shelter there, which was built by the Amelinghausen village youth in a 72-hour campaign, but I have read that there will probably be problems because there was no building permit and the hut may therefore have to be torn down again should, which I think would be a shame. Unfortunately, the heather was already in bloom when I was here on September 20, 2023 (during a bike tour in this area). But it was still very nice.

On the Queen's Trail around Amelinghausen, the legendary Hünen Trail near Oldendorf/Luhe and the Heide-Panorama-Trail near Soderstrof and Schwindebeck, you can stamp the Heidediplom in bronze, silver or gold. Exciting legends and fairy tales as well as information about the Lüneburg Heath can be discovered in stamp boxes along all three paths, and five stamps can be collected each time.
