Very spacious cabin with a generous green area around it... Theoretically suitable for an overnight stay... however, it is located next to a wide forest road...

Large shelter with benches inside and outside. The hut has a sandy floor. There is also space for 1-2 small tents inside and around the hut. However, the hut is located close to civilization, so there is a lot of public traffic.

The first stage of the Heidschnuckenweg also runs along here, which I can highly recommend for a day hike. All information about the Heidschnuckenweg can be found under the following link: https://www.heidschnuckenweg.de/ (as of May 10, 2024).

The 3rd stage of the long-distance hiking trail "Wilde 13" also runs along here. The "Wilde 13" is not signposted or marked, but can only be hiked using a GPX file at the following link: dav-hamburg.de/dav/Wilde13 (as of April 2024).

While the hiker's shelter isn't new, it has been revamped after being sprayed full. Unfortunately, young people often party there and leave a lot of rubbish behind. Because of the cigarette butts, I have left pocket ashtrays there several times.
