From April to September, every first Sunday of the month, members of the Schelderwald Mining and Light Railway Association offer guided tours through the 140-meter-long tunnel from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can experience firsthand how the miners used to work with tools and lamps. The geological features of the Schelderwald forest, with its ores and minerals, are also vividly explained. Special tours are also available! My grandmother (born in Silberg in 1931 and then married my mother's father after moving to Niedereisenhausen) always called the cave "Cape Hole" and went there a few times with my brother and me during my childhood. We usually climbed down the very steep wall from the top, which made it even more special – wonderful adventure memories =) My daughter completed her Indian exam there... - who would have ever believed the damage that propaganda, gaslighting, and brainwashing can do...
