The Mushroom Rest Area with a view and information panels. Zschopau Valley slopes near Lichtenwalde. Information: The Mushroom: Erected around 1800 as a Chinese parasol, it was described in 1839 as a "colorfully paneled parasol".

A hillside (a natural monument, Rutsch) with a shelter. Information: Part of the slope was removed for the construction of the railway line at the end of the 19th century. This imbalance led to a major landslide in 1897.

It's a shame, unfortunately the beer garden next to the closed restaurant has become a bit run down. Hopefully the new operator will invest properly and not just turn it into a pipe dream again. I hope this traditional restaurant doesn't suffer a similar fate to the Zeisigwaldschänke or even the Heideschänke, which has since been demolished. That would be fatal for the 2025 Capital of Culture!

During the construction of the railway line between Flöha and Freiberg at the end of the 19th century, a piece of the slope at the foot of the mountain was removed. This threw the natural system out of balance and led to a major landslide in 1897. Since then, people have called this area “Rutsch” or “Wandering Mountain”. Today there is a small shelter and benches above here. Unfortunately, the view is only special from the edge, because the trees at the hut are now too high. But a hike along here is still worth it. Also easy to connect with the old limestone caves nearby.
