Today's Great Cascade was created as a grotto during the second construction phase of the Palaisgarten and complements the various water features on the site. A small cascade can be found directly next to the basin of the fountain pond on the lowest level of the Palaisgarten, the eastern end of which is marked by the Great Cascade. The water features of both cascades and the fountain pond are activated at intervals and, like the other objects in the Palaisgarten, are illuminated at dusk. The water features include, in addition to a spacious fountain pond near the New Palace, the dolphin fountain on the south side of the main building, the lion's head fountain, the swan pond at the foot of the large sequoia tree, the small cascade and the jewel of the palace gardens, the Great Cascade.

The palace garden is really worth seeing in summer.

A visit to the Palaisgarten is definitely worth it
