A tavern and alpine hut all in one. It's wonderful to sit in the sun in front of the hut and enjoy cheese dumpling soup with a good drink. The Gaisberg, the perfect local recreation area for the city of Salzburg, is best explored on foot or by bike. Leave the car at home.

The inn "Dax Lueg" is a nice stopover with panoramic views over the city of Salzburg and the surrounding Alps. If you take a break here, be sure to enjoy the traditional Austrian cuisine and the cozy atmosphere of the terrace.

Due to a shortage of skilled workers, the Zistelalm is unfortunately only open for events (as of July 2024). A cozy, spontaneous stop at an altitude of 1000 m is therefore no longer possible. That's a shame, because the beautiful place with a view of the mountains offers a holiday feeling in between.

Good excursion restaurant on the Gaisbergspitz. Even when there is a lot of demand, you will receive good and quick service.

The Zistelalm is a hamlet or mountain inn on the way to the Gaisberg summit. The restaurant is currently only open for events, but that is set to change in summer 2024. You can find more information at https://www.zistelalm.at/.
