A very nice café/restaurant located at the end of the city fortifications on the Mönchsberg. From the outside terrace you have a fantastic view of Salzburg.
The restaurant »Zur Bürgerwehr« was opened in 1863, and from 1950 it was a nature lovers' house, youth hostel and restaurant.
Cozy inn with traditional Austrian cuisine, a unique beer garden and guest rooms.

The Stadtalm is certainly one of the most special places in Salzburg: Located directly on the medieval defensive wall on Mönchsberg, a few minutes' walk from the Museum der Moderne, with a panoramic view over the city. The “Zur Bürgerwehr” restaurant was opened here as early as 1863; The house remains true to this long tradition - as a cozy inn with traditional Austrian cuisine, a unique garden and newly renovated, simple guest rooms. You will see, no matter what time of year, the view of Salzburg's old town is indescribable!
