This pond fits in perfectly with its beautiful landscape. In addition, the pond represents an important ecosystem for the region, offering alternative habitats for animal and plant species.

Beautiful trail through this Czech natural gem. Again and again you come across idyllic oxbow lakes and beautiful old trees in this alluvial forest. The oldest oaks are said to be 350 - 470 years old.

Pond with various places to rest, a boat rental and the rustic Teichstüberl (open from Friday to Sunday). Since the pond is a nature reserve, swimming is not allowed.

It's very nice on the dike.

Katzelsdorf is located at 203 m on a side road that branches off to the northwest of the Lundenburger Straße (B 47) leading from Wilfersdorf to Břeclav. The place covers an area of 12.59 km² in the middle of a gentle landscape of hills and ponds. From the central, triangular square, the mostly closed, ascending main street of the village and the side streets lead off. Numerous press houses, fields, vineyards and acacia forests shape the townscape. The parish church, visible from afar, stands on a hill in the northeast. In the southwest there are two ponds, the smaller community pond and the large pond with the Mühlbach as a tributary. The Marterberg rises on the northern edge of the village.

A nice pond on the bike path invites you to take a short break.
