The striking and visually unusual building used to serve as a brewery, as already described (initially under the name "Schlossbrauerei", from 1906 as "Hansa-Brauerei"). The architectural style seems strangely inappropriate in the surroundings - and I had to look it up first - it is called Castle Romanesque. No wonder: I don't really associate that with the Hanseatic cities and their brick Gothic architecture.

The listed manor house from the 16th century is located on the estate. After the house fell into ruins in the 1960s, it has now been completely rebuilt. Seven high-quality apartments were set up on the three upper floors of the manor house. There are spacious rooms and areas on the ground floor and estate park, which are suitable for hosting all conceivable festive occasions and events. The house is located in the middle of a park that is also a listed building. There are fruit trees, some of which are over a hundred years old, on which apples, pears, plums, nuts and other fruits continue to grow. The foundation walls of the old barn areas of the former agricultural estate have been made visible again.
