The Ötztaler Ache accompanies you on many hiking and cycling tours through the Ötztal and its wild water provides impressive natural moments. Along the river you will find great routes for gravel bikers, mountain bikers and hikers, often with spectacular gorges and suspension bridges. The section near Umhausen is particularly beautiful, where you can experience the power of the water up close. Perfect for a tour with a nature and adventure factor!

Beautiful hiking trail above the Windache, which partly leads along rock overhangs. In summer this is also a grazing area, so you can expect oncoming animal traffic.

Suspension bridge with a great view of the Ötztaler Ache. It wobbles a bit, but not too badly. You should still be free from vertigo, though, as you can look down through the railings from a lofty height onto the roaring river.
