The bathing area on the south side isn't particularly attractive. The shore is overgrown with trees. The water is already a scum in spring. There's a shabby kiosk where you sit on ancient plastic chairs in the dirt. What are you paying parking fees for? It's a bit nicer at the hidden nudist lawn on the east side. The water is also better and deeper here.

Matthias described it well. The area around the pond is still a flood zone, i.e. when the Rhine is high or during regular floods, my "little pond" is not accessible or can only be accessed at your own risk. Unfortunately, this beautiful place is increasingly being littered by event idiots.
