The Bremerhaven Citizens' Park is a large park located directly behind the main train station. The park offers many leisure activities and has natural forest areas, open meadows, beautifully designed gardens and walking paths.

The Erikasee is located in an 8.6 hectare natural habitat that was extensively renovated in 2012 with EU funds. It is a small, urban recreation area with benches, hammocks, a moorland adventure trail and even a public barbecue area. Swimming is not permitted, however.
