The Hortenberg is a 51 m above sea level elevation in Deutsch Wusterhausen, a district of the town of Königs Wusterhausen in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg. The elevation is located north of the district and south of the other district of Diepensee. There are a total of four elevations in the area, three of which are named. To the west is the Weinberg, which is 53.6 m above sea level, to the north is an unnamed area 45.7 m above sea level, followed by the Hortenberg and the 48.3 m above sea level Pennigsberg in the east. Easy to drive way, partly concrete slab

It is no longer really bare, but two lines of sight still offer an opportunity to look out

Stones and signs with runes or similar symbol-like signs can be seen on the Streitberg and the paths to it. There is also a stone with a Sator square de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sator-Quadrat. The way from the south is very sandy. There are well-navigable, so far not marked paths from the north.

When I walked this way for the first time, I didn't even notice that there is a mountain here. But the street is actually called that

The best starting point for a hike to Kahler Berg is the guest house in Motzen (tourist information). Parking is available in front of the house or at the village church in Motzen. From the guest house leads the beautiful circular walk, along the village church Motzen, past the historic elm and the Motzener lake to a quiet pine forest. Through the forest you reach the viewpoint on the Kahler Berg (85.7 m). There is a bench at the top, so that you can see the Motzener See here in suitable weather conditions and depending on the season (depending on the tree growth). The trail takes about 1.5 hours (3.9 km). Route marker: Green point Condition: very good forest road, short section parallel to the main road through the village

Conquering the mountain is worth a trip. The view is a dream. There are a few paths, walking in circles or across country.
