I haven't needed it on my tours yet, but it's good to know it's there if necessary.

A very good shelter, also for the night. You shouldn't stay there for long if you have arachnophobia, as this shelter is heavily dominated by cross spiders.

You never know when you'll need a roof over your head. Whether you're riding in the rain or the sun, a shelter helps you take a short break. Anything is better than standing under a tree and "balancing" in your rain gear. Helpful.

Wooden lookout open on three sides in the Lenzen-Wustrow Elbe lowlands. Nice place for a break or to observe and photograph wild animals and birds. However, in windy or stormy conditions it is very drafty as three sides of the hut are open. The landscape in the area is beautiful and you have a great view over the Elbe. The lookout is close to the Elbe cycle path, so I often take a break here when I'm cycling on the Elbe cycle path. I also like coming to this area to take photos of the starry sky, as the light pollution is fairly low here. However, there is also some light pollution here, in a southwesterly direction from the Gorleben interim storage facility, which is very brightly lit at night, and in an easterly direction from the town of Wittenberge, which is approx. 30km away.

You can take a break here even in bad weather.
