A beautiful piece of nature. On one side, the Trave River, on the other, the wide reed belt and lagoons. Fortunately, it has been preserved and has been a nature reserve for several decades. In the 1970s, it was supposed to be dredged to serve Lübeck's harbor. Fortunately, this was never done due to public protests. But unfinished business is still on the horizon. Four massive warehouses are planned on the other side of the Trave. That would be bad for this area.
