The Hesselbach Valley is a small, shady valley with a stream (the Hesselbach) that forms part of the diverse Eifel landscape around Steckenborn and Woffelsbach. It lies between open fields and wooded areas and offers tranquil nature, streams, and viewpoints, including views of the Rursee lake and the Eifel forests. The valley is part of numerous hiking trails and circular routes in the region, such as a loop from Woffelsbach through the Hesselbach Valley with panoramic views of the Rursee.

The Perlenbach is a picturesque stream in the Eifel region, flowing through both Germany and Belgium. It originates in the Belgian High Fens and eventually flows into the Rur River near Monschau. The Perlenbach Valley is known for its natural beauty, including stunning rock formations such as the Teufelsley and Engelsley, as well as its vibrant spring carpets of wild daffodils. The valley also contains two important nature reserves: the Perlenbach-Fuhrtsbachtal valley system and the Lower Perlenbach Valley. Historically, the area was known for its freshwater pearl mussels, which are now almost extinct. The valley offers excellent hiking opportunities and the chance to immerse yourself in the tranquil Eifel landscape.

A wonderful valley, especially when the sun is shining. At the bottom of the valley there are lush stream meadows that shine bright green in the sun. Very idyllic.

The stream valley is very calming and beautiful, and in summer cows roam there. Not recommended after heavy or long periods of rain, as the ground becomes very soft and muddy.

The Perlenbach Valley is a worthwhile destination, especially when the daffodils are in bloom in early or mid-April.
