The valley takes its name from the wild cats that are said to have once made their home here and then disappeared. However, a population of wild cats is said to have settled again in recent years.

It's hard to imagine that there is such a fantastically natural stream valley just above Bonn. We fell in love with our first visit and have been coming back ever since. However, sure-footedness and mud-proof shoes are recommended.
