The food here is good, and many athletes stop by. Many waiters from Nepal work here to earn money during their downtime and learn a bit about Austrian mountain hut culture. I think it's a really good win-win situation.

The inn "Dax Lueg" is a nice stopover with panoramic views over the city of Salzburg and the surrounding Alps. If you take a break here, be sure to enjoy the traditional Austrian cuisine and the cozy atmosphere of the terrace.

Fine rooty forest trail, a bit slippery at the moment, be careful especially on the upper sections, otherwise a fine and largely natural path on the outskirts of Salzburg.

The Faistenau village linden tree, a so-called thousand-year-old linden tree, is a large-leaved linden tree and the landmark of the municipality of Faistenau in Flachgau, Salzburg. The linden tree dominates the village square and is protected as a natural monument.

Due to a shortage of skilled workers, the Zistelalm is unfortunately only open for events (as of July 2024). A cozy, spontaneous stop at an altitude of 1000 m is therefore no longer possible. That's a shame, because the beautiful place with a view of the mountains offers a holiday feeling in between.

The Zistelalm is a hamlet or mountain inn on the way to the Gaisberg summit. The restaurant is currently only open for events, but that is set to change in summer 2024. You can find more information at https://www.zistelalm.at/.
