A paved road with a gentle incline runs along the north/east side of the lake. From here, there is a magnificent view over the relatively large lake and the surrounding peaks on the east side of the Schafberg.

The Moosalm area is truly a place to enjoy—an open alpine landscape with a perfect gravel path for leisurely strolls, and wooded hills and mountains all around. Only the high-voltage power line spoils the idyll—but we need that in life 😎

Unfortunately, from Panoramablick (the actual Komoot route), there's no way to go any further. If you go any further down, you'll have to turn back, as the path is blocked off by a fallen tree. It's also closed from there, but unfortunately, there's no information beforehand.

A beautiful lake in the Salzkammergut region, and perhaps one of the few that isn't so crowded during the off-season. In the surrounding mountains, you'll find a great route for every bike.

The Moosalm is a very cozy hut, a lovely place for a break, and also a plateau with pastures and a wonderful cycling and hiking trail.
