Alpine ascent with steps and ropes. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are definitely necessary, but with a certain level of fitness it is absolutely doable

The ascent was very well renewed by the Alpine Club after the mudslide disappeared in 2022. New wooden steps were installed. However, part of the comparatively less steep part is now in the shade in autumn and is therefore muddy and slippery. A hiking stick is helpful here. A beautiful path with great views and variety for experienced hikers.

When hiking the Nagelfluhkette, this is one of the more pleasant gaps!

Worth it for warming up and food/drink fits.

The Schreibersattel is a sliding passage from the hut. It's about 400m up until you're at the top and can drive again. It is blocked by rough stones. A powerhouse with an e-bike. Anyone who has mastered the driving technique for uphill will possibly be able to drive. For the inexperienced, it means pushing.

Grasgehren on the Riedberg Pass is a good starting point for hikes!
