The Bechthaler Weiher is located in the idyllic Anlautertal below the castle ruins, approx. 300 m as the crow flies east of Bechthal. The Anlauter flows past on the south side. The water area is approximately 1.5 hectares and has an average depth of 2 meters. Wooden beams lead across the water for balancing purposes and immediately separate the non-swimmer and swimmer areas. Beautiful bathing lake, great for cooling off and then getting some energy in the Seerestaurant Kratzmühle with a beautiful view on the terrace.

A beautiful swimming lake next to the Altmühl, not far from the Kratzmühle campsite. There are small sections with piled sand for children, but also quiet corners. Pedal boat rental is possible at the restaurant.
