The climb is worth it

...great trail – it has everything (good flow, switchbacks, jumps, roots, cross-country with postcard-perfect panoramas). However, I think the overall length and technicality of the trail make it a bit too challenging for beginners (who don't do alpine climbing every day).

Beautiful and very well laid out trail with two different levels, only the last part is quite blocked.

Everything is really easy to drive, these 120 curves!

Part of one of the most beautiful bike parks in Trentino, the Furcia Trail is a challenge even for those who have traveled many descents on a mountain bike. Although it is never irregular, it has around 120 curves and is really fun even for those with less experience. Its start is well signposted and not far from the Messner Mountain Museum at Plan de Corones.

Also known as the "Amphitheater of the Dolomites", at around 2,100 meters above sea level, the stunning Pralongià plateau offers a 360 degree panoramic view of Piz Boe, Civetta and the Marmolada to name a few. In spring, the flowering meadows make this extraordinary natural context even more majestic.

Delicious food at affordable prices at the Plose mountain station. This is where the winter hiking trail/panorama trail to the Rossalm starts. Very worthwhile with a great view! Well suited for families with children.

Unfortunately a very crowded area. We were there in September and the full parking spaces upstairs are off-putting. In the high season it is not possible to drive up by car. As soon as you move away from the main paths, it becomes quieter. In particular, the plateau next to the Strudelkopf is quiet and not as crowded as the summit itself. From the meadows on the plateau you can see the Three Peaks, the Rienz Valley in front of it and the gigantic mountain world of the Dolomites.
