A beautiful town hall dating from the 1880s. It replaced the older building on the same site. A lovely ensemble with the church in the market square.

In the center of Faaborg, the bell tower of the town's first church, St. Nicholas' Church, still stands. Today, it is the town's landmark. When the church, built around 1250, was demolished after the Reformation in 1536, the bell tower remained standing. It was built somewhat later than the church and therefore required little maintenance. It also served as a navigational aid for sailors. Today, the bell tower still serves as the bell tower for Faaborg's parish church, Helligåndskirken, which replaced St. Nicholas' Church as the parish church when it was demolished. A visit to the bell tower offers the opportunity to see the amazing structures of the medieval building up close, with vaulted ceilings and large oak structures that raise the tower to a height of 31 meters. If you climb to the top of the tower, you will be rewarded with fantastic views over Faaborg and the archipelago. The carillon, with its 38 bells, was donated in 1960 by wine consultant Andersen of Odense. The bells were cast in Holland. Today, the carillon plays four times a day using modern digital technology. The melodies played in the bell tower change throughout the year. https://www.visitfaaborg.de/faaborg/plan-your-holiday/faaborg-bell-tower-gdk613731

Odense, the charming island capital of Funen, is rich in history, big city flair and green oases. It is particularly worth discovering the historic old town. A stroll through the old town of Odense is like a journey into the past. The old town is known for its well-preserved half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and charming courtyards. The Overgade and Nedergade are particularly worth seeing, where some of the oldest houses in the city can be found. The old town also offers numerous cafés, shops and cultural offerings that invite you to linger. https://www.visitfyn.de/fyn/reise-ideen/die-altstadt-odenses-gdk700262

Odense Cathedral - Saint Canute's Church - was built in the 14th century. The crypt contains the remains of Canute the Saint, the last Viking king of Denmark. It is a Gothic cathedral with a high, bright nave. The cathedral is named after the Danish King Canute the Saint, who was murdered in Odense in 1086. His skeleton can be seen in the church crypt. In addition to Canute, King Hans and Christian II are also buried here. The magnificent 16th-century altar is the work of the woodcarver Claus Berg and is worth a closer look. https://www.visitodense.de/turist/reiseplanung/sankt-knuds-kirche-der-dom-odense-gdk1077438
