On the church square, in front of the entrance to the church in Holstebro, stands this sculpture "The hand on the church square". which is actually simply called "Kirken", was created in 2007 by the artist Hans Pauli Olsen and placed in front of Holstebro Church on the occasion of the church's 100th anniversary in 2007. A large bronze hand that is open and in the open hand is a copy of the church. The hand almost reaches out to those who attend the church. The sculpture stands on a granite base. There are two holes in the plinth that house bronze portraits of Anders Stubkjær and Morten Larsen.
