Sculpture by the Sea is a renowned outdoor art exhibition held every other summer along the scenic coastline south of Aarhus. This biennial event transforms the 3-km (1.9-mile) stretch from Tangkrogen to Ballehage into a vibrant open-air gallery, featuring over 50 large-scale sculptures by artists from around the world.

Before you set off, you should try to find out whether the structure is there or gone. It is quite obvious that the bridge is dismantled in winter, certainly to protect the structure. We had already seen on Google Maps that someone had marked it "Closed" so we did not arrive with great expectations (only the beach part without boards was left). Unfortunately, I cannot say with any certainty how reliable the maintenance in Maps is. Perhaps there are more reliable sources...

With luck, Google Maps will somehow keep track of when the bridge is there and when it isn't. When we visited in early January, we weren't particularly hopeful of finding the bridge and that's exactly what happened... 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately, it is dismantled in winter

You pass it on the way to Uendelige Bro. From a wooden bridge that leads over the watercourse, you have a good view of this small but beautiful waterfall. Great subject for a long exposure 😍

Here you have the opportunity to be very close to the animals and it's free. The animals are very trusting and come very close to you! Great experience!
