You are not allowed into the inner courtyard of the actual castle as it is privately owned. However, you can take a lovely stroll around the park and get great views of the castle and the moat from there!

The ferry from Grenaa also docks here. Anholt Rescue Station is one of 21 rescue stations operated by Denmark's Coastal Rescue Service. The station is equipped with a sea rescue boat and a rubber dinghy. At the rescue station are staffed by 15 volunteers. From 1878 to the 1930s, the sea rescue station was located at the lighthouse.
